Who would have guessed
that one so fair
could seek me out,
and mend the tear?
What lures him here?
It's me.

Hard to believe
that one so fine
would make me dream,
would spend the time.
What keeps him there?
It's me.

Never concieved
that one so true,
could be so blind
to one so blue.
Who broke his heart?
It's me.

The face I know,
I recognise.
This can't be her,
he must despise.
Who is this girl?
It's me.

His face I see
on every man.
His laughing smiles,
his loving hand.
What made him leave?
It's me.
