Jack-in-the-Box

The first delight is anticipation

Reading the hardened moulded form

The fired earth of human clay

Imagining what your prize will be

Chaliced hands of eagerness

Heart ready for the grand surprise

You release the tight elastic bonds

To let your prize leap out and free

Pop!

I'm meeting Mr. Wee Fee and RMD in five minutes.

Sometimes a boy strikes fear into the heart of men.
