We have a false Spring
   almost every Winter
When the ice
Melts the sky blue
The sun shines hot.
   It came upon me
Unexpectedly yesterday
   the memory of your eyes
And a hundred other mundane things
That make up the
Extraordinary loss of you.
   Winter is easy for me
I hold memory at bay
But I see Spring may well
   bring flash floods.
With luck, Spring will come
Late
And Mr. Groundhog
Will sleep through his holiday.
