I smelled it just today, a
Woman passing by wearing
Jardin du Nil. Cascade of

Instant recollection. You,
Dressing. Lace and stockings and
The soft sibilance of the

White silk blouse you wore with that
Tight, calf-length black skit that
Was your office uniform

Under the white doctor's coat
The severity of which
Never failed to arouse me,

Severity I wished to
Strip away leaving only
A whiff of Jardin du Nil.
