I’ll never deserve you.
The time that we have alone
Is so precious.

You aren’t mine; that I know.
It doesn’t make it hurt less
When you’re with him.

I know that you chose him.
But I can’t stop wondering
How right we’d be.

You can’t know my feelings.
I’ve never been able to
Voice them fully.

I wish that we could meet.
Would my touch convince you
To choose just me?

You now have changed my life.
But I wonder every day:
Is yours changed too?

I want you to want me.
But, truthfully I want you
To want just me.

You’re certain to get tired.
Someday I’m sure you’ll move on,
But will I too?

I don’t know how I won.
You are a treasure to me,
But I want more.

You can’t be truly mine.
But I’ve never been that good
At sharing things.
