Josephine

Eyes look up, full of love and kindness
Yet, you have no idea as to my name.
My dad talks to you of the rest of the family and you only raise your head up and say,
“Thank you Martin.”
“I’m Tommy,” he says, but you only nod and lay back into your bare metallic bed.
This is the final trip, the final stop.
No more.
The last time you will be unable to recognize me
The last time I am forced to hold back the tears that are just behind flickering lids as I
      watch you slip away.
“And who are you,” is all you can reply.
