The Journey
It's been so long, since these feelings I've felt
I've nearly forgotten the signs.
The ground I thought firm, is beginning to melt
as the foundation, my heart undermines

A glimpse of your face, and I'm lost in your eyes.
The scent of your hair like magic
"I'm always alone", my heart yet decries
and life again becomes tragic.

Any chance I could have, with you I dismiss
Your beauty is still unsurpassed
And yet it's your kindness that brings me to this
to cop to my feelings at last

I don't know that I love you, too soon yet to tell
as anything more than a friend.
but any and every possession I'd sell
I'd dedicate life to this end

To discover our feelings, the ultimate goal
Of this journey out into the sea
On this ocean of feelings I'll bare you my soul
If only you'll start out with me.
