I fell in love with you under a junkie skyline
at the sight of you drenched,
the hair plastered to your face.
you were chasing the needle and it's golden seduction.
I tried to reach you;
but you were deaf while the monkey was screaming your name.
I lost you in the metallic landscape;
your retreating footsteps still echo in my mind.
Heroine looks like love to your heavy lidded gaze;
something beautiful entering your veins.
in her intoxicating embrace you find
all the solace you need to leave
your pain behind.
