Neither arid air, nor sun-scorched earth
No unrelenting drought conveys the dearth
I'm feeling

No hot berg wind, no desert storm
No lightning-etched landscape,
No flash flood in the early morn can leave me reeling
As will the touch of you...

Exposed peak, warm crevasse,
Flood-drenched sands on thirsty river shore
Undulating contour leads from heated heights to
Foliated valley floor –
The shade mine to explore
