The empty spaces
He left and he left and he left
Big and small
And wide and shallow
And deep and barely even a blip
I stare into and at that empty
I was whole but I give some, most
and all
and none of myself
To him and him and him
Temporary relief
A casual encounter
That turns into nothing more
Yet another and another
And then the past comes back
An old flame rekindled
Maybe this time...
