Click hereThe very first card made with small loving hands
The macaroni necklace too.
A valentine made out of tissue paper
Just to name a few.
They contain special moments I cling to with pride
Pictures, I keep in my head.
Memories of people or of places we've been
Pages from books that we've read.
A postcard or two when we went to see Mickey
I thought you'd never let go.
You held onto him tight with a smile on your face
And I took a picture, so you would know.
The older we grew; you'd send flowers to me
I remember that first Mothers Day.
I saved a small bud, pressed it into a book
"I Love You, Mom!" I can still hear you say.
Later, you married and a daughter I gained
And I loved her just as much as you.
I shared stories of your youth that made everyone smile
And a secret recipe or two.
I like this one the best of your new poems.
Keep on writing and sharing.
