our lives
yours and mine both
woven apart
pain hardened each strand
wound tight
around heart
Patience
tease gently to loosen
each knot unties knot

revealed things
long gathered in want
and in loss
shields, cast down
through sear fields we walk
hand in hand
healing wounds
long forgotten, not,
unties not

chain mail worn
embattled is thought
heart spies, cloaked in shadow
wont be taken or fought,
with no force besieged
cant be bartered or bought,
breeze hauntingly calls us
to guide, not,
unties knot

clasped, surrendered
gift free of the heart ever
changing
like water in flow over rock
and as time will, conquers
all obstacles, wrought our lives
two lines broken
retied in our thoughts, entwining,
joined bodies, in spirit want not

us, embraced in
each knot; untied knot

Lovely. I enjoyed this very much. It was so beautiful, the image of two tortured souls finding peace with each other and coming together (my interpretation). Thanks for sharing(: <3 Lillian, KR.
