His eyes lit up as I walked across the car park, he didn't care who saw, with a single leap he jumped from his company's car and rushed to hold me in his arms. I should have pulled away, it should not have felt so good. Three years’ worth of memories rushed back to me all at once, the times we spent together, the love we had and alas I melted.

My head fit perfectly on his shoulder, his arms precisely hugged my waist, his chest felt so sturdy against my breasts, I was secure in his arms, then gently he planted his kiss on my wanting lips. That familiar kiss, the kiss I relived for months, the kiss I longed for as I waited by the phone day after day, night after night, willing it to ring, praying it was him saying come over, the kiss I cried over as I stared online at pictures of him with another.............

Reality struck, I awoke from my trance, and I pushed him away.

He looked at me with longing in his eyes, he held my hand, I pulled it from his, got myself together, shook my head - I've got a man, he's got a girl, we were through, our time had passed, we had each moved on, or had we, the spark remained, he was my superman, I was his Lois Lane, No!!!! I was super girl and he, he was my kryptonite!
I turned my back to him and walked away, he shouted, "I love you", I closed my eyes for a second and forced myself not to look back.
It was over between us, his powers had to be diluted, his hold had to be broken, I loved another, I was loyal to another but the pull was so great, so strong, so......, so....., so real........

With a whisper of my name I stopped, torn, twisted, the pain of wanting wrapped around my chest and tightened, slowly I turned, ready to embraced my memories, my guilty pleasure, my kryptonite. The fates forbade it, the smile on my face faded, my racing heart stalled, as I looked at the spot where he stood, nothing but stone and tar and grit greeted me, there were no longing eyes, no open arms, no lips saying those three words I needed to hear, the dark figure I once loved so much could no longer be seen....................
My kryptonite was gone.
