I remember clarity…
something gliding by the window,
felt like velvet to my glance.

I remember discussing God, evil angels,
Shamans and then glimpsing something gold.

Star-pointed heels stabbed the sky
swathing the vault with bits of light;
never was I danced like that.

Amazing! Could have been the wine,
and how deliciously splendid
her crescent kiss slipping by;
then a voice beyond the window
pushed through the creamy clouds.

I was still spinning, a little like a Dervish
caught in the loop of ali Khan. I nibbled
the amber edge that touched my lip,
lifted my palm to trace the curve in her hip
and told her once again, “I have always loved you
dressed in diaphanous lemon lace.”
