After all this time
Lady,
friend of mine:
with all we've shared
and long we've cared,
The pain we've helped
each other through.
To be again
As one with you;
Breast to fevered breast
Our grateful bodies twined
As long out hearts have been.
And in our fiery need,,
In the joining of our seed,
We forge each golden link
In the chain that circles 'round us
Which joins but does not bind us,
each to other and other to each.
As is the way
in nature,
man
and love.
