Today a black girl
told me she'd be a hungry
tigress at my feet;
At first I concurred,
given marks made by the cane
that I had wielded;
But, then the white burn
on her brown flanks made me say:
"more an okapi";
At which point, damn her,
she started giggling so hard
she never ate me.
