Let the storm roll
The lightning strike
Hear the thunder toll
Feel the wind bite

Toward our enemy we ride
Own fear torn asunder
Hearts thumping with pride
Hope we don't blunder

Palms soaked in sweat
Gun steel is caressed
Eyes alert for every threat
Heart pounds with stress

Why we're here
We don't know
Only know fear
Just want to go

Someone up high
Not in the sky
Wants a bigger pie
Doesn't care if we die

All I wanted was college
Thought four and out
Then off for knowledge
Live without doubt

Yet here I am
Duty I hear call
Sitting next to Dan
Hope I don't fall
