Suggest the melody of, "No Letter Today."

I started my day, feelin' blue and alone,
I couldn't give my, hungry dog an old bone.
Life sometimes is sad, when there ain't no good news,
You're feelin' those old, sad "Lamentation Blues."

I went off to work, slowly walkin' away,
My poor old dog watched, and was too tired to bay.
I got to my job, and I made it on time,
My bossman just frowned, like I'd just done a crime.

I worked all day long, just like I always do,
Then made it back home, feelin' so low and blue.
No supper tonight, that's the way that it goes,
My old dog just howled, and it curled my toes.

I turned on the set, and I watched for awhile,
The news wasn't good, and it stirred up my bile.
So I popped a top, and I guzzled my brew.
There wasn't no change, and there was nothing new.

I went up to bed, with my poor brain on fire,
I'd drunk too much beer, and I thought I'd expire.
The last thing I said, as I felt my brain fuse,
I'll sing in my dream, those "Lamentation Blues!!"

hmm

hate to admit it but I don't know the song...but I did like the words, you captured the blue collar down in the dumps very well. I think this is one of the better pieces of yours that I have read, keep it up!
