Last Goodbye

Lost a friend a little while ago,
There wasn't any white,bitter snow.
The night was darkened with black rain,
And on this Earth I will never see him again.
While we are here saying to him "Farewell",
He is being welcomed by our Father's loving arms.
But then, I probably will see him again,
When I answer our father's beckoning call
To my home in Heaven.

In Loving memory of Derek Michael Hastings 1971-1990
