Late at night I think about you.
Like a silent intruder,
thoughts of you creep into my dreams.
Unconscious whispers slip by barriers
stealing serenity, waking old memories.
Streaks of lightening bringing pain and questions,
a storm of emotions in the dark.
Remnants of pleasure mist the heartbreak
robbing my slumber of sanity.
With dawn comes peace chasing black clouds
until tonight, late at night when I think of you.
