It's very late
I get up from bed
Light a cigarette
The smokes burns my eyes
Catching the end of
A flick
I can't stop thinking of you
I can't stop feeling you
I can't get back to sleep
Because you are here
As I gaze up at the portrait
Above the computer
The artist, the you.

Will this dream
This delicious sweet
Beautiful notion
That I've come to know
Comfort me now
It's all there is, but it's enough
To carry me this lifetime
On into the next
Gentle spirit, soothing soul
I shall return to the bed
We have shared
Many happy memories
The lust I feel will never go
As my lids become heavy
I drift off content
Knowing you are somewhere
Very close
This dark and damp night

Simply fab, fab!

In the wrong hands, this could have been quite corny, but it works here. Bravo!
