Click hereUpon the precipice she stands
Does she dare a true leap of faith
Flinging herself free.
Air cradling, caressing like a lovers
gentle breathy teasings
Gravity inexorably drawing down
but in that freefall unfettered
No pleading demands for sex,
from a partner that won't understand her needs
no screaming demands of children
no bills to pay
The only pressure in her control
The only decision, should she jump
Sun glints off auburn hair
Pale blue, tear filled eyes open
Envisioning the moment of clarity
Where all that matters is the fall.
the compliments I am actually going to start thinking I might be good at this stuff :-p
A good piece but slightly cold and unemotional for the subject. You're really showing progress todski, well done.
thanks for the smile 1201. I was going to put a flippant remark that we were actually out bunjee jumping and she was scared of heights hence the tears, however I didn't allude to any of that so how would you know?
(above comment is for joke only, this piece is tired and predictable as stated)
a hexagon of terror
she plops into the pond
(see preceding poem)
less write, more thought, more comments todski
i got to the end before you did, i.e. predictable
5ed but just so you get used to it
