From my darkness I watch
Seeing all dance around me
They move slowly to the music of love
But all move out of my circle
A circle of protection around my heart
Keeping me safe from harm
From falling in love
Until one skirts in
With hair the color of the raven's wings
she sets flight to my heart
Her earth-toned eyes
bring life to a long stilled heart
She dances into my life
Touching the pieces of a broken heart
Mending each shattered memory
Reminding me what it is to love
To desire a touch once again
In my dreams I hold her
The sweet taste of her kiss
fills my imagination
She is the reason I come
She calls to my heart
And I am helpless but to answer
She frees me from a prison of pain
And to her I will lead
All the while as she teaches me of love
