Reaching with both hands
to knock on the sky
screaming out "Timothy!
Why did you lie?"

I saw an eagle
all lit up in red
I saw vines growing
from out of my head

I saw the man Jesus
fresh from his grave
I saw the strange foods
that forever I'd crave

I saw my children
all covered in blood
I saw a great statue
carved of purple mud

I saw my soul tangled
kicking hard to be free
but I never saw God...
or He didn't see me.

freaky

I love poems with a great ending:

but I never saw God...

or He didn't see me.

Moody Blues?

I hear George's sitar and see those swirly spooky things that were supposed to give you a free trip. This poem is a trip all on it's own!

I keep hearing strains of the Moody Blues

with this one. I had an opportunity to hear Leary speak once, talk about charisma. This poem spun a bit like one of Leary's trips, perhaps peeking inside. Interesting images...

Psilocybin. . .

. . . met the pieman

drawing things in air.

You are what you eat. . . write?

I don't think you dropped enough...

I would have made this a little more disorganized and tangental. great.
