So like a butterfly,
wings glazed with dew, spread
to dry in early sun.

With my tongue's very tip,
carefully I touch the head.
It flutters, blushes. Plumps.

Erotic

and minimal. I always think of my butterfly as an orchid.

But now I have an image of the creature emerging

from a cocoon, pumping it's wings full

to spread and dry in the sun for flight.
