Look into the eyes in the mirror
They stare past the wall I built
They outlast any pain I go through
The guilt builds like a flame
And engulfs all I know in the blame I feel

Just leave me be
It's what I deserve
This right I reserve
To be silent and suffer alone

Fall down to my knees before you
Can't look away from what I've done
Your forgiving smile it burns
Like the haunting eyes I yearn for
They refuse to let me suffer and die alone

I've done everything wrong
You said it's fine so long as I'm yours
Every word lashes across my skin
Like every other sin I've earn
Why won't you let me burn

Open my mind and set me free
Work me down to the bone
Tell me I'll die alone
Make me open my eyes
And see all the lies I told
But all you ever say is that you're okay
I can see the blood red tears in your eyes

I did everything that could be wrong
You said it's always fine just so long as I'm yours
Your words lash across my skin
Like every other sin I've earned
But you won't let me burn
