The black unfolds around me
Spiraling through my thoughts
And past my eyes.
As I lose myself in sleep
The steady drumming of movement
Beneath my feet
Reminds me only
Of where I am.
Surrounded by strangers
Who seem like friends
I am lulled to dreams
Of my own mortality.
And with the melody of me
In my ears
I wake to find
I am home.
