I thought...

that day
when you looked my way
the sky hung a bit brighter
new words for this writer!

warm grip on my throat
softer... stronger... on my heart.

strange... how fickle mine has been
covering breast and brow with a stressful sheen.
changing day to day
looking more than one way.

is this supposed to be pretty?
these words...

but also the events leading to their conception...

it doesn't work that way
perfection won't stay
minds change like wind
so have you truly sinned?

yes

and no

and yes

but no

so do as you will,
i'm learning not to take
EVERYTHING
        to
          heart

I've only to glance beside me to see
my true worth in His eyes,
because I can be

everything

and nothing

at the same exquisite time.
