GOSSIP (LIES)

Conjugate, Obfuscate,
What a tangled Web we weave
When we practice to Deceive
A Tongue of Silk
A Tongue of Sin
To each and every one they're Twin
Fantasize, a Thousand eyes, malicious Lies,
From every mouth
Teeth like Glitters
Lips that twitter
Behind my back
What a Hack, Pick up the Slack, Heart attack,

Alone at last

Ego, Superego, Pride,
Dying like a coal inside
Leaving Blackness, leaving Sin,
Tongue of Silk's eternal twin
Whorl, Unfurl, Curl
My fingers around the stock
Of shining metal gleaming black

Having Fun, Feel the Sun, they see the Gun,
Faces crumple
Beauty to beast
Arrogance to fear
Ashes to Ashes
Dust to Dust
Sunrise, Tantalize, Staring Eyes,
The Blasts
shatter Faces
like Glass
And all comes Tumbling down

They are Dead
Shimmering Puddles, Wounded Befuddled,
Circular burn upon my Tongue
Of Sin or Silk, God's will be Done
Trembling lips around the bore
Finger on the Trigger
Death to the King, Tears Sparkling,
From dull dull eyes
Crystallize, Compromise,
Hate myself for Hating
Those Lies

That drove me
Unwove me
To this Sin
Pull the Trigger
End my Life (Lie)

Well crafted poem and emotionally evocative in its truthfulness. Thank you for your honesty.

I love the usage of the word 'obfuscate' too.

Looking forward to more poetry.
