Lies are what we say
to hide things from others.
Lies are what we tell ourselves
when we refuse to see the truth.

Lies are what we say to children,
Sometimes to protect them, othertimes not.
Lies are what politicians say,
because they think we are stupid.

The are lies all around us,
good and bad
Lies are a fact of life,
Joyful and sad.

Yes, I lie as others do,
But if I may be so bold,
I will never ever say it's Hot,
When it's actually really Cold.
