I can see it now,
Not to far away,
I’ll grow up,
And coast away.

How far, who knows,
Be distant, or close
So soon it comes,
Inevitable, Unavoidable.

Perplexed and enlightened
The decisions we make
Cause the effect
The life we create.

A trade, a vocation,
An efficient mistake,
A road less travelled,
Delivered by fate.

Success or failure,
Manifestation of pressure,
A profusion of prospect,
An implosion of assurance.

Life is not destiny,
No powers there be,
Reading this poem
Is not destiny.
