A sum of experiences? Or a cabinet of events.
Is it a basket of friends or achievement of goals.
Your childhood aspirations. Fireman, supermodel, singer, waitress.
Varied and bright, random and obscure.
Each hope a precious moment, to be faded or dashed.
Age does that you know...
Cynical rain presses in, expectations of others a burden
How they see you, how they judge you. Your life is on show.
What will they think? what will they see?
Is it the same as what I see? Do they know the real me?
Anxiety pulses a living beast inside me. Will it turn me?
A creature of someone else's making, of their desires
Not mine. Not me. Nothing.
