Would you dance the life Selenic?
Wrap yourself in nightshade excursions
In nature without man?
Notice existence without existentialism
And breathe meaning without words
Wandering timorously with vagrant vagabonds
Parleying with shapers and shifters
Where the borderline is visible.

And lines swirl where there are no lines
Only shapes that deliver sweet succor
To emotion’s extremes
Hope and fear becoming one.

It is common, black then white
But shaded in every color.
Would you dance this life?
Embrace it nightly
And hold it close?

Werethoughts and thoughtmares
Signs and sigils
Show truth unhidden,
The hopescapes and dreamthreads
Would you dance the life Selenic
And find what lies between?

Enthralled

I can only dream of writing poetry like this. I'm awed. I was drawn to it because of the title (namesake and all :) and then fell into this poem like Alice through the Looking Glass. Fantastic work, going to read more of your stuff!

:)

wow, this must have took some thought. I love how you wove the horrifying creatures into thought/fear creatures. I might change a word or two, ( timorously, being one...) I hate looking up words, lol, but this is a unique, very visual poem. enjoyed it :)
