lifejacket

Rhythmic oceans of freeform feeling
floating in a sea of August Christmas lights:
Tomorrow's rain might flood my psyche
but the calm is worth the worry.
Flashing back to glimses of yesterday
faded by long gone hope and dreams.
I do it for the laughs.
