Life pulses
Forward.
A proud iridescent
Maggot
Trailing a viscous shimmering history
Across the plain
Of a rose petal.

Life pauses.
Mocked
By the simple liquid clarity
Of a dew drop
Depending an edge.

Subdued.
Coated.
The petal trembles,
And bows.

Life plummets
Through globule
Spraying past scintillating
In air.

Life slaps
Down
Squirming
Somehow intact.
Impressed
On a seeping cushion
Of dead meat.

Life sucks.
