Like A Cat Tip-Toeing Around A Mouse, I Walk On Your Heart Without The Slightest Of Ease

I walk with little cat feet upon a heart that I no longer feel is made of vessels

Instead you're more like stone: cold, hard and unforgiving in every synapse of your mind

And with every breath you take I believe more firmly that you hate more than you love

And this frustrates me.

I have tried to love you with everything I had and every pore that I possess

This small body, however, keeps me from allowing myself to degrade over you.

Even if I seemingly want to.

So I walk with the slightest of touch and try to understand that you no longer care

Though I care and I want you to understand that I am all I am and I can be nothing more.

I can be nothing more.
