The gentle smell of Lilac on  the warm summer breeze reminds me of you and the love we had. The air surrounds me and plunges me into the past, our past. The days filled with ,"I love yous" and promises of forever and beyond. A undying love of first loves without a cloud on the horizon. Open hearts, broad minds, and enough plans to fill a lifetime together.
The warm summer air gives way to a cold harsh rain that begins to take away that scent that brought these memories back. The rain shocks me back into reality and reminds of why you aren't here now. The stupid fights and arguments about nothing, words said in the heat of the moment that neither of us meant but can never be taking back. No final goodbye, just a note. A note that didn't explain anything, just simple words saying sorry, it's over.
God I miss you, and I can't even tell you.
