Yesterday my life seemed cruel, but my evening hours,
Became filled with the fragrance from forgotten flowers,
I saw again the shadowed filigree,
Of moonlight through my beautiful Lilac tree.
                            @(-;-
I heard the sparrows movements in their nest,
And saw the path that tiny fairy feet had made,
Reflections of the stars shimmered in my garden pool.
                                   @(-;-
On my face the breeze was refreshing and cool.
The silence spoke to me, as my head was bowed,
As clear skies began to fill with clouds,
Raising my eyes that, tears washed, now can see.
The beauty that was lost to me.
                              @(-;-
Dear god, who is so close to the flowers, and the birds,
Be nearer still, as I  search for the words,
To thank You for the blessings this night has revealed,
In which discouragement had hidden from my soul!
