Have you ever seen a wheelchair athlete?
The one that competes with no feet
They are quite able
To run the table
And show you that they are elite.

Personally, I know of a guy named Rick
With a basketball he was always slick
He was special indeed
Hands moving twice the speed
You never saw him throw up a brick.

Others like him don't consider their plight
They will tell you that they love the fight
Even with a handicap
They don't give a crap
They go out and give it all their might.

So the next time you meet such a guy
Never doubt their ability to fly
Without wings
and many other things
They still can take to the sky.

Strive

Wonderful poem needing to be written. Perhaps they are the greatest who have to strive the hardest.

~~

A nice light tribute on a serious matter. Those that know, know that part of the handicap is in the mind, the hardest part to overcome.
