Limericks Galore!
By Jack Gates.
The vibrance of true life is personified
the fact that us humans are satisfied
If it looks and acts like us
it is only because
It's human and that's the way it is classified
With her graces and airs
she said, 'Get up them apple and pears!'
She had it in her head
it was time for me to go to bed
guess, apples and pears, meant stairs!
'Your computer mad,' she screamed!
she was forever on to me, it seemed
'What with your digits and bytes
and your bleary eyed late nights
no wonder you make me angry and steamed!'
Roger was busy thumbing through his thesaurus
looking for the word, 'brontosaurus.'
He wondered how something so colossal
could be reduced to a fossil?
Possibly, because its movements were slow and laborious!
She stood on the bridge at midnight
she gave a passing drunk a bit of a fright
what he thought was a bushy plant
was a huge pink elephant
sucking a pink lollipop and also flying a kite!
Just one limerick written each day
keeps the psychologist at bay
It's even some fun
to give rhyme to a pun
as each strand of your hair turns grey!
