I don't know why but your staring at me,
Watching me intently, like you know me,
The real me, that I keep deep inside.
The one that is scared of wishing and hoping,
Being judged because I don't belong,
In a circle where society believes it's wrong.

It looks like I could mean something to you,
Apart from being a mother, and father to my child,
Apart from being a sister to my siblings,
Apart from being a child to my mother.
It looks like I could be your whole world,
And do nothing but love and be loved by you.

The way I look, walk and talk,
It doesn't seem to scare you, why not?
It doesn't seem to fool you, does it?
So many questions I could ask, but I won't.
Because the look in your eyes, answers them all.
I'm just a little girl at heart, in want of your love.
