I hear your laugh and it haunts me in my nightmares
Ever present in my ears, yet fleeting in my presence.
The nearer I draw, the farther the floating nymph drifts away
And I, always in pursuit, seeking the joy in that soft voice
Never to find peace until I can hold her in my arms
And hear that soft, quavering sigh of joy meant only for me.
