You tell another one,
To cover up the truth,
Just one more little white lie,
Another won’t hurt,

You convince yourself,
But the damage is already done,
The tears have already been shed,
She can’t take them back,

The words lay between you,
And yet you turn away,
Convince her she was wrong,
Convince her you’re telling the truth,

Oh please convince her,
She needs to believe in you,
Just one more little lie,
Another won’t hurt,

Tell her the words,
That her soul craves to hear,
She needs them now,
While it still matters.
