Living in the past

She never looked, she never asked,
She lived her life dwelling on the past.
With no respect, she loved and lied,
And now wonders why my love has died.

She swore to God, then lied to me,
There is no love in this to see.
The vows she took standing next to me,
Mere words to her, but not to me.

Now trust has gone, and with it hope,
With broken heart, I cannot cope.
She never looked, she never asked,
Never saw my love was there to last.
