…the…sandman…was…easy…
     Th e Eas ter Bu nny wa s Ne X'd out     
Tune in, little Timmy, tune in, tiny Tim, tune in
to hear the argument, while mother and dad are stuffing
COLOURED boxes under a dead tree /colored balls,  
    a child’s Christmas in wails                         the
          now the tooth fairy, that was tough          boogie-man's
(‘cause dad didn’t have a dollar in his pocket,          always the last
you got nothing but a hole in your mouth)               to go

who     Then, Doctor L., came the time to put away all of your adultish things
puts            Harvard,or was that Yale?,the government, the CIA, even psychology
those things           Turn on the off ramp to Disillusionment USA
in your nose?                          ...there's a sign post up ahead, next stop...
          *black* and *white* and *institional green*

things getting strange tl? evolution a little forced?
        That pink-gray cauliflower           *old rose*
,perched atop the celery stalk, doing the talking now          *lime green*
*tangerine*     you are what you eat -          *cherry red*
     More fruit of the rotted rye?          *turquoise*

Blast off! DTL-25                    *permanent green light*
     from earth     *dirt color*
*red*          past mars, the rings of Saturn     *rainbow*
               past uranus,                *raw sienna*
*glow-in-the-dark black*     to some unknown black hole, to
                         Drop out on the other side
*burnt umber*
             *whoa, more rainbows*                   to see the swirling rainbows
turning
          *fluorescent brown*
                    
                          Now
                    Here comes the death fairy    *mood indigo*
                    A dollar for your soul
the                    When are you going to realize
                    That when you wake up      *a whiter shade of pale*
boogie-man               You'll have no place to spend

"Haha". Ok, seriously now, I probably lack 90% of the references I need. And the 10%, I'm just too dense to get. Nonetheless, I like the idea of writing different streams, and weaving them (visually) together. The fourth stanza (or block of text) in particular throws the reader one way, and then the other. Bizarre (interesting) demonstration of control, except I have no idea why you're doing it.

Intriguing Mind

I enjoyed the fact I could almost feel your mind floating when you wrote this.

I also liked what you did with the characters...(letters) and how you spaced and placed them indicating the illusion.
