The laughing spring that will return no more
brought urgent questions, that are bound to find
no hoped-for answers, and a silent mind,
and moonlight streaming on an empty floor.

The silent mind ....hmm ....might be sad ..... Moonlight on the floor is definitely pathos ---- silvery , seductive .....even suggestive ---- magical , mystical ..... perhaps miracle or miraculous ! Total combo makes for great Poetry
