I'm sittin here talkin;
But you're not listenin' to me
Your eyes are fixed firmly
On the screen of the TV
I'm feelin' so lost
Start wishin' I was somewhere else
Maybe with someone
Who knows how I felt

You're sittin' there talkin'
I listen to what you say
Tellin' me what to do
Without question I obey
There must be someone
Who wants to be with me
And with no chains to hold us
We'd both still be free

We're sittin in silence
Not sayin' a word
It's not unusual
But it really is absurd
I'm feelin' so restless
Don't know what to do
As we live together
I feel so alone with you
