I do not want to be a mere image
of another lover in your past life
Though it is all in the past......
I want to be selfish, have you as my own
read your thoughts, and your heart
Know this is the place I belong...
You talk of sacrifice, disgust with man
speaking of foreign shores and changes
That hold my heart in a sea of stone....
I fear that I am not enough to hold you
when I can feel deep within me
The need to shelter, and love you.......
I've my fears and concerns, I talk too much
while you quietly sit, digesting it all
Never letting me know what's really inside.
You're a beautiful soul, an angel of the purest kind
draped in darkness you walk alone
Like this heart.. like the need for us to roam..
Simply though, felt, and always wondering
will you ever give your heart to anyone?
Or remain the lonely angel you are?
