Long Distance @ 10 pm
Second Call-

"Uh oh..."
Two little syllables.
...and I
come undone,
thoughts drown.
I get wet-

Want
is a lean
into your voice.
Yearn is the quiet
between our words.

The arc of you
present,
heat seeking
to supple back.
face in the tangle
of my hair.

Belly quivers-
Skin shivers-
Heavy-lidded,
bedded musk,
your voice...

Too early?
Too late?
I ache.
"Good night,
my love.
I wish you
were here."

You just don't know.
I'm already there.
