Tossing and turning
into the night
Dreaming of you.
Yet preparing for flight

I don’t want to leave you
I don’t want to go
But you’re not here with me
And that’s all I know.

Your faith and courage
Are stronger than mine
I lean on you,
Most of the time

The distance between us
Is sometimes too much
Then you reach for me -
a determined touch.

I hear your voice
Sweeter than sin
I feel my heart
Pulled right back in

You say we’ll make it
And I can believe
And I know there’s no way
I can ever leave

Tossing and turning
All through the night
Dreaming of you…
Wings….folded tight.
